B.Mus. (Performance) from TRU-OL: General Education Requirements

Music Performance Diploma students planning to complete the Bachelor of Music program through Thompson Rivers University-Open Learning (TRU-OL) must earn 21 credits from a specified range of non-music courses, as listed below, to fulfill degree requirements. This is normally seven courses, which can be spread over the four-year MPD program at VAM. At least 6 of these credits (two courses) must be completed by enrolling in on-line courses with TRU-OL; these can be print-based or web-based courses. The other 15 credits can be completed through TRU-OL, or they can be transferred to TRU-OL from another school which is recognized for transfer credit by TRU-OL.

The cost of TRU-OL courses undertaken by students is not covered by the VAM tuition. For information on admissions and registration, a current list of courses, detailed course descriptions, fees and other helpful departmental information, consult the TRU-OL website.  Click “Programs”, then “Arts”, and then see “Music Programs”.
